The Injustice against the Iraqi Turks and the Jews in the World.

The Turks living in Iraq (Turkmen people) and the Jewish brothers living in the world have a common complaint as it can be understood from the heading. What could this complaint be?

The crime of working for another state!

This accusation has caused deep wounds in the hearths of the two nations for many years. All of the dictatorial or semi-dictatorial regimes ruling in Iraq have made this ungrounded accusation against the Turkmen people. And, based on this accusation, pressures and fear was enforced in different forms.
The level of education of the Turkmen people living in Iraq was high (except for the last 10 years of the Saddam regime), they had a liberal mentality, supported peace. They were humanist; they respected law and were progressive. We observe the same features in our Jewish brothers (outside Israel). Still, we face them as a nation having suffered numerous genocides – pressures and terror. The economical and political genocide made against the Turkmen people was imposed for the Jewish people in Germany ruled by Hitler, who had the same mentality. At this point we would like to ask whether there is any difference between Saddam and Hitler.

Efforts were made to justify the unjust behavior against the Turkmen people, both materially and in kind by the claim of accusation of “working for another state”. The love and respect they have for Turkey was tried to be shown as a justification. I believe that saying the same thing for the Jewish people would not be wrong as well. What could be more natural than a Jewish person loving and missing Israel? Similarly, what can be more natural than the Turkmen people loving and missing Turkey? This is a yearning and an emotional tie.

This love has nothing to do with the foreign policy or governments of Israel and Turkey. Making them the victims of politics for the countries they love would be oppression against them. Some Kurdish groups in Northern Iraq attacked the frontier of the Turkmen people when they wished to give a message to Turkey just like to shameful attacks made against the synagogues in Istanbul in order to send a message to Israel.

The Jews living in Istanbul and the synagogues are not responsible for the military actions taken in Israel, neither is the Masonic lodge. Similarly, the frontier of the Turkmen people is not responsible for the decisions taken by Turkey. Such tendencies in people are quite normal because people have and will continue to have ties and emotions for certain place or periods. I believe that everyone should be tolerant in this respect.
